Surrey Museums Month

Every April, Surrey Museums Month showcases its 43 amazing museums and galleries and their busy calendar of events, exhibitions and activities for all ages and interests. Each year has a different theme for Surrey Museums Month, last year was 'A History of Surrey in 50 Objects', and this year is 'Surrey Heroes'. Throughout the Country museums are celebrating their chosen heroes with a variety of events, exhibitions and activities. See our events calender to see what events are happening near you.

Surrey Museums Consultative Committee

Celebrating Surrey 2010 Surrey Museums Consultative Committee (SMCC) in an expanding and vibrant advocate for museums, communities, learning and enjoyment. We are an umbrella organisation working on behalf of museums in Surrey working in partnership with the district and borough councils of Surrey and Surrey County Council. We provide advice, information and practical assistance to anyone connected with Surrey's museums and we develop partnerships with those in tourism, arts, heritage, culture, education, archives, libraries and area museum councils.
