Dorking and District Museum

Dorking is a small museum, which has a local studies library on site. It has a miscellaneous collection of textiles, which includes female dress, and accessories, occupational clothing, children and baby clothes, historically dressed dolls and dolls house furnishings, banners, samplers and sewing equipment/tools.

Although the museum is restricted by its size to exhibit only a small sample of its textiles, the collection is catalogued, making the objects easy to access, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
