Information for people working in Surrey's Museums 

These pages are for volunteers, paid employees, trustees, councillors, local government officers and everyone else working in or for museums, their visitors and non-visitors.

Grants:Information about the SEWS Museum Development Fund grants for Registered or Accredited museums and galleries in Surrey. Also information about SMCC grants for any museum in Surrey.

Training is organised by Chris Drake, Museum Development Officer. Contact him for details of forthcoming courses.

MuSE - Museums in Surrey Education Group: This group is for Education staff, and staff with Education part of their roles. The MuSe group meeting three times a year at different locations across Surrey. Interested parties are welcome to join.

Information about Surrey Museums Group: SMG is an organisation of staff and volunteers from the museums in Surrey and provides support, training and networking opportunities.

Information on the care of archaeological archives: This document was written by Alan Thompson, Archaeological Records Officer, Museum of London for a South East Museums Service Southern Region seminar on Caring for Archaeological Archives that was held in Lewes in 1998.

Matrix - The Rolling Archaeology Programme: This is a project to catalogue all archaeological material in Surrey, starting with coins and tokens.
