What Eye See is a photo project realised by the collaboration between Surrey Museums (Julie Ellis), Waverley Youth Project (Anife Faria) and Moira Blackwell (professional photographer). The project started in the end of May 2002: young people learnt using a camera and took pictures all around... It was a good way to make boys and girls think about their environnment, and to have fun too! Working together over the summer term, the group presented their exhibition at the Farnham Museum from 31st July to 13th August 2002, with a Grand Opening attended by the Mayor of Waverley amongst others. Meridian TV were present and they produced a a short piece for their early evening news broadcast. The name for the exhibition was created by the young people of the Farnham group, which summed up exactly the project's objective: showing Farnham through the eyes of the young people! You can also read Louise's thoughts . Louise is 14 and she was one of the young photographers taking part in the What Eye See project.
